Created a brand identity for this start-up company. Creating everything from their logo, ads, business cards, website, packaging, and pretty much anything visual with Mochi's name on it
Roles: Branding Design, UX/UI, web design, packaging design, animation, user research
From choosing the company font, to our colors, logos etc. My role was to single-handedly create a visual identity for this company and bring it to life.
This logo is meant to be as clean and as inviting as possible. Designing a logo for a weight-loss company could go in a lot of different ways. The biggest challenge was to not make it look like a food company - as the name was clearly taken from the popular Japanese dessert. Especially for weight-loss company, seemed a bit hilarious that it was given that name in the first place
So my role as their newly hired designer was to have it represent someone as far away from that as possible. The rounded corners gave the logo a sense of approachability and comfort, whole the o and the c leaning into each other was meant to signify how our company cares about the connection of our patient-doctor relationships.
The result is a logo that fit the feeling that we wanted to give off, while being as clean and as inviting to look at as possible
My job as a designer was to choose a color that was comparable to our competition. A lot of our competition used colors like purple, dark blue, and green. We had to find one that fit in that scheme while standing out.
We ended up going with this blue. It's a lighter shade that is almost close to a cyan. This fit our vision even more of having a brand that was inviting and welcoming to look at. This color is used in almost all visual representation of our company and I believe it was a great choice for us.
The type face we went with was Montserrat. A very popular type-face and for good reason. It is extremely versatile and professional, while also being clean and inviting.
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
This typeface was to be used for our website, ads, portal systems, and even professional documents. The versatility of this typeface served well and was a great choice for our branding
I was also tasked to create a whole new website for our company. Using Webflow, I took our new logo and company colors and created a website that adverstises our company as best it could while conveying the proper information to get your started
I was also tasked to create a blog page for the website. Using my skills in illustration I decided to make little drawings that represented the topic of the blogs to live in the blog menu and also in the main blog page
All blog images were illustrated and hand-drawn on Procreate using my iPad Pro
The main page we wanted users to visit was our eligibility page. Once someone is interested in joining our program, they had to take a quick 25 question exam to see if they were eligible for our program. This was the first and most essential step for our company user-growth.
And of course, our mochi portals which I had gone over in a previous project page. All of the UI was designed by me through Figma and illustrator. This was definitely the most challenging aspect of the company to design.
